Abuse on the Costanera de Corrientes: man attacks cats from the feline colony

An enraging case of animal abuse occurred on the Costanera of Corrientes last Monday, when a man was caught kicking a cat that belongs to the feline colony.

This happened after his dog attacked the cat, as explained by the organization Paz Animal.

A volunteer from the group of animal welfare activists witnessed the events while feeding the cats in the area of the Museum of Natural Sciences.

At that moment, she noticed an older man crossing the sidewalk with his dog, which he was encouraging to chase the felines.

Not the first time he attacks the cats

One of the cats tried to defend itself from the dog’s attack, but that’s when the man intervened and started kicking the feline, ignoring the volunteer’s pleas to stop him, as reported by El Litoral portal.

“According to information we received, he is a regular in these maneuvers since on several occasions he encourages his dog to bark at the cats and/or chase them,” they added.

They also pointed out that: “Unfortunately, there are people like this, we try to raise awareness so that no animal is harmed because humans are what we think and act towards animal life in an onerous way.”
