On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, there is a notable rise in temperatures in the City of Buenos Aires and the Metropolitan Area. Although the sky will be mostly cloudy, the National Meteorological Service has ruled out any possibility of rain in the region.
Rising temperatures in Buenos Aires this Wednesday
Today’s weather will be influenced by northern winds, which will bring an increase in humidity and a much more pleasant climate, temporarily dispelling the typical July cold.
In Buenos Aires, the minimum temperature is expected to be 11°C at dawn, while the maximum could reach 16°C during the afternoon. Humidity will remain around 81%, which could cause some fog and affect visibility in suburban areas.
The northern winds, with speeds between 13 and 18 km/h, will slightly shift towards the northeast at night, maintaining a speed of 16 km/h and temperatures around 15°C.
In the Buenos Aires Conurbation, conditions will be similar. In localities like Vicente López and Avellaneda, temperatures will range between 11°C and 16°C with moderate winds.
Meanwhile, in interior areas like Azul and Tres Arroyos, minimums of 7°C and maximums between 15°C and 17°C are expected, with cloudy skies but no rain.
The Early Warning System has lifted the alerts in the center of the country, but maintains surveillance in Patagonia and the Andean region. In Neuquén, an orange alert for heavy snowfalls remains in effect, while the southern Andes are under a yellow alert for persistent rain.
In the southwest of Santa Cruz, there is also a yellow alert for snowfalls with accumulations of up to 20 centimeters. In Mendoza, landslides in the high mountains are being monitored due to cold fronts.
The province of San Juan faces a yellow alert for Zonda wind, with gusts that could exceed 60 km/h, affecting visibility and rapidly raising temperatures.
Extended forecast: The north wind will continue on Thursday the 16th, raising minimum temperatures to 16°C and maximums to 21°C, with mostly cloudy skies.
For Friday, isolated storms are anticipated in the afternoon, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 25°C. The weekend will see a change in winds towards the south, causing a marked thermal drop starting Saturday.
