In a sector historically associated with a high carbon footprint, Urbano Express took a decisive step by certifying as a B Corporation, an international recognition that distinguishes companies balancing profitability with environmental and social commitment.
The process took over three years and involved the incorporation of a Triple Impact Management System, ensuring that every business decision generates economic, social, and ecological benefits simultaneously.
This certification represents a profound change in the traditional logistics model. The company not only optimized its processes but also redefined its purpose, directing all its operations towards sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Strategies to reduce the carbon footprint
To minimize the environmental impact of its operations, Urbano Express implemented concrete measures. Among them, the installation of solar panels in its offices and the creation of a solar farm at its Barracas plant, which will supply part of its energy consumption.
Additionally, it replaced 90% of its lighting with LED technology, switched to recyclable and compostable pouches, and reduced the use of plastic materials like stretch film. In logistics, it optimized routes, incorporated electric bicycles and tricycles for urban deliveries, and improved space usage with collar pallets to reduce trips.
The company also continuously measures its carbon footprint and offsets its emissions through reforestation programs with native species in the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve and Patagonia, creating a mitigation circuit that combines technology, environmental management, and ecosystem restoration.
Inclusion and social commitment
The sustainability of Urbano Express extends to the human level. Through alliances with social organizations, the company promotes the labor inclusion of people in vulnerable situations.
One of its most notable programs is developed with the Espartanos Foundation, facilitating the social and labor reintegration of people deprived of liberty. Since 2021, more than fifty beneficiaries have joined as collaborators within the company.
This is complemented by corporate volunteering programs, logistical support to health institutions, and the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, ensuring equal opportunities and promoting female leadership at all levels of the organization.

Well-being and talent development
The triple impact model is also reflected in internal well-being. Urbano Express offers constant training, mental health programs, and educational support to its more than 3,000 collaborators.
The company promotes work flexibility through a hybrid modality, encourages professional growth with internal scholarships, and recognizes performance through bonuses and incentives.
Currently, 20% of managerial positions are held by women, reflecting a concrete commitment to gender equity and generational diversity as drivers of innovation and continuous improvement.
Benefits of this initiative for the environment and society
The certification of Urbano Express as a B Corporation sets a precedent within the Argentine logistics sector. Its management demonstrates that it is possible to combine operational efficiency with environmental awareness and social responsibility.
Among the main benefits are the reduction of emissions, waste valorization, the generation of inclusive employment, and the promotion of a more empathetic and sustainable business culture.
The positive impact not only affects the natural environment but also the communities where it operates, by promoting a fairer, circular, and regenerative value chain.
