The Sudamérica Salvaje Fest 2026 will take place on June 3 and 4 at the Teatro del Globo (Marcelo T. de Alvear 1155, Buenos Aires City).
Under the premise “Know to conserve”, the festival proposes a cultural and collective experience that combines cinema, conferences, and environmental actions. The goal is to put nature at the center of the conversation.
The initiative brings together 15 years of experience in adventure and conservation festivals and is supported by organizations such as Aves Argentinas, JUMARA, Sin Azul No Hay Verde, Parley Argentina, and ReforestArg.
Program for Wednesday, June 3
- Ocean Film Festival World Tour: first time in Buenos Aires, featuring films like TAINÁ, A Dragon’s Dance, The Raftsmen, The Kelp Collector, Antártida: Dominio Uno, and Stone Biter.
- Conference “Science and Conservation: Sharks of the Argentine Sea”: led by Patagonia Azul – Rewilding Argentina, covering satellite tagging, bycatch, and threats.
- Main debate: issues and solutions in the Argentine Sea: driven by Sin Azul No Hay Verde and the Environmental Policy Circle, addressing trawling, Marine Protected Areas, and fishing transparency.
Program for Thursday, June 4
- Reserva El Puente Verde: conference by Andrés Bosso (Aves Argentinas) on the conservation of the Misiones jungle and restoration projects with native species.

- Environmental and community cinema: premiere of Pescadores y guitarras, along with Qotzuñi: People of the Lake, Sei, the Unknown Whale, Proyecto Utopía: El Rabdomante, and El llanto del glaciar. The filmmakers will be present to interact with the audience.
Each screening will last approximately two and a half hours, with a 20-minute intermission accompanied by complimentary Corona beer, designed as a meeting space between the audience, specialists, and organizations.

Experiences beyond the screen
The festival seeks to transcend the screen with concrete environmental actions:
- Reforestation in Cholila: four people will be able to participate in a native forest restoration experience with ReforestArg.
- Meeting spaces to connect cinema, nature, and new ways of viewing the world.
Tickets and registration
- Conferences: free, with prior registration until capacity is reached.
- Cinema screenings: available through Ticketek, with prices starting at $22,400.
The Sudamérica Salvaje Fest 2026 positions itself as a new cultural event in Buenos Aires, combining international cinema, Argentine documentaries, debates, and environmental experiences. More than a festival, it is an invitation to reconnect with nature and collectively think about its conservation.
