INVAP Foundation launches the 8th edition of Emprendé ConCiencia: science and technology for socio-environmental transformation

The INVAP Foundation officially launched the call for the 8th edition of Emprendé ConCiencia, a program aimed at supporting science and technology-based projects with positive social and environmental impact.

The initiative is designed to boost the development of ventures that originate from local areas, connecting their leaders with specialists, mentors, and innovation ecosystems. The goal is to strengthen their proposals and turn them into real solutions.

After seven editions in Argentina, supporting more than 90 projects, the program takes a key step: for the first time, it opens at a regional level, allowing entrepreneurs from neighboring countries to access this network of strategic allies and enhance technological development with socio-environmental impact throughout the region.

Who can participate

The call is aimed at individuals over 18 years old residing in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Paraguay, or Uruguay, who speak Spanish and work on research or development projects with socio-environmental impact. Independent entrepreneurs, research groups, or consolidated teams can apply.

A highlighted benefit is the week of in-person training in San Carlos de Bariloche (Río Negro, Argentina), where selected participants will access intensive training and connection with the local scientific-technological ecosystem.

What projects can apply

Initiatives that use science, technology, and innovation to address issues in:

  • Health
  • Environment
  • Socioeconomic integration
  • Social habitat

Projects will be valued for having a certain degree of development, the intention to improve their value proposition, and the need for technical assistance provided by specialized teams from the INVAP Foundation.

science and technology
Science and technology come together to support initiatives that generate a positive change in the community.

Participation and selection process

The call is open until March 25, 2026 on the website www.emprendeconciencia.org.ar.

Applications will be evaluated based on their potential social and environmental impact, the strength of the team, and technical and economic feasibility. Selected projects will participate in a 5-month training and support process, divided into three stages:

  1. Intensive work weeks.
  2. Co-creation with specialists and mentors.
  3. Closing event with presentation of results.

Program benefits

The proposal includes:

  • Specialized technical mentoring: individual guidance from experts in Bariloche’s scientific-technological ecosystem.
  • Business workshops with impact: group spaces to refine business models with a social and environmental focus.
  • Linking and validation: connection with local organizations to create collaboration networks and validate solutions in real contexts.

A regional impact

The opening of Emprendé ConCiencia at a regional level marks a milestone in the program’s history. By integrating projects from different countries, it seeks to promote cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the creation of solutions that address common challenges in Latin America, such as the climate crisis, social inequality, and the need to strengthen health and habitat systems.

The 8th edition of Emprendé ConCiencia represents a unique opportunity to transform ideas into real solutions, boosting regional technological development and strengthening innovation with a positive impact. With the support of the INVAP Foundation and a network of specialists, entrepreneurs will be able to scale their projects and contribute to a more sustainable future.
