It Will Be Sustainable 4.6: technology, innovation, and sustainability at the center of the agenda

Será Sustentable arrives with its fourth edition, establishing itself as one of the reference spaces for debating innovation, technology, and sustainability. Driven by the GEO Sustainable Development Center of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of UBA, the event brings together public, private, academic, and social sector leaders to promote conversations about the future of sustainable development.

In its previous editions, the event exceeded 1,000 attendees, gathered more than 75 speakers, and built a network of over 90 strategic allies, consolidating an ecosystem of exchange, collaboration, and collective construction around sustainability.

This year, the event will take place on Thursday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires

Será Sustentable

Será Sustentable was born as an initiative in partnership with Urban Sustainability and produced by GestiónARG. From its inception, the goal was to create a space for meeting and reflection on the challenges and opportunities for sustainable development.

Additionally, in the 2025 edition, it was declared of interest for economic development by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. More than an event, today it is consolidated as an expanding community that connects and fosters new ways of thinking.

In this new edition —Será Sustentable 4.6— the event proposes to consider technology as a strategic ally of sustainable development. Artificial intelligence, data, digital platforms, and technological solutions appear as key tools to optimize resources, improve processes, and accelerate development models with impact.

Throughout the day, these themes will be addressed as axes through talks, dialogue spaces, and discussions, featuring the participation of Christian Asinelli (Corporate Vice President of Strategic Programming at the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, CAF), Alan Daitch (technology and artificial intelligence disseminator), and Paola Nimo (Sustainability Manager at Natura Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay), among other leaders.

“Technology, and particularly artificial intelligence, is no longer just an efficiency tool. It is starting to be a key factor in rethinking how we produce, manage resources, and make decisions. The challenge is how we direct it to generate real impact”, says Marcelo A. Corti, Executive Director of the GEO Sustainable Development Center. “The future is not automatic: we design and build it together,” he adds.

This conversation generated from the academic field will bring together specialists and actors from the innovation and sustainability ecosystem to exchange experiences, promote new action-oriented alliances, and develop new opportunities. More than an event, Será Sustentable 4.6 seeks to establish itself as an ecosystem of exchange and collaboration.
