The automotive company Mundo Maipú has consolidated a comprehensive environmental strategy to transform its impact on the environment. Under the Maipú Zero program, the Cordoba-based group promotes specific actions in energy efficiency, recycling, and responsible management.
With a strong focus on the future, Maipú seeks to align itself with global sustainability goals. Its approach is based on reducing its environmental footprint and fostering a more climate-conscious organizational culture.
One of the highlighted achievements is having obtained the Platinum certification from Volkswagen’s goTOzero program. This international recognition rewards the best environmental practices in dealerships within the global network of the German automaker.
But their commitment does not end there. Through sustained investments and operational changes, Maipú reinforces its profile as a company committed to a cleaner and more efficient mobility model.

Clean Energy, Recycling, and a Sustainable Vision
In 2023, Maipú inaugurated a community solar park, a pioneer in the Argentine private sector. This plant, with over 1,600 panels, produces enough renewable energy to supply more than 450 households annually.
Thanks to this initiative, a significant portion of traditional electricity consumption is replaced by solar energy, reducing over 600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. It is a concrete step towards an energy transition.
The company also carries out an active recycling policy. With the installation of ecological islands in all its buildings, over 78,000 kilograms of reusable materials have been recovered. This system promotes a conscious and collaborative waste management.
In their after-sales workshops, they have also implemented a safe treatment model for oils, filters, and other waste, complying with environmental standards and reducing the technical impact of their operation.
Sustainable Cities: Keys to the Urban Future
Maipú’s actions align with a growing global concept: the construction of sustainable cities. These cities promote harmonious urban development with the environment, prioritizing energy efficiency, clean mobility, and equitable access to resources.
A sustainable city incorporates green spaces, reduces emissions, and optimizes energy use. It also embraces the circular economy and infrastructure that mitigates the effects of climate change.
Companies like Maipú, by integrating sustainable principles into their operations, directly contribute to this model. Their commitment to renewable energies, recycling, and plastic reduction has a positive impact on the environmental quality of their urban surroundings.

A Long-Term Strategy for Real Impact
Maipú Zero is structured on three fundamental pillars: measuring the carbon footprint, implementing measures to reduce it, and offsetting the remaining impacts. This comprehensive approach sets a path towards carbon neutrality.
From the progressive elimination of plastics to promoting sustainable corporate gifts, each action aims to transform daily habits. This transformation involves customers, suppliers, and employees.
With a clear vision and sustained commitment, Maipú positions itself as a relevant player in the transition to a low-carbon economy. Their journey demonstrates that a structural change is possible, even in traditionally polluting sectors.
