The recovery and recycling plant La Metropolitana, in Donovan, Juana Koslay, recently announced it and celebrated the results of the last month.

“Thanks to the work between the plant workers, citizen commitment, municipalities, and the business sector, 16,000 kilos of polyethylene and 4,000 kilos of glass were recovered,” authorities detailed.

The material was sold to the company Resiplant. It was transported and reintegrated into the <strong recycling circuit, bringing multiple benefits for environmental care.

“This represents a great achievement in meeting the plant’s goals for recovery, whose aim is to reduce waste generation and promote nature preservation,” they pointed out.

La Metropolitana works together with the province’s municipalities to optimize resources and add value to each recovered material. In the recovery and differentiation processes, workers manually classify the waste by its origin.

Then, the materials are pressed and baled to be transported and commercialized.
