The cooperative Creando Conciencia, formed by former waste pickers and dedicated to environmental care and social reintegration, expands its line of sustainable products with the manufacture of Eco Points.
These structures, made from recycled plastic, are designed to promote waste separation at source and strengthen the circular economy.

Trajectory of Creando Conciencia
For more than 20 years, the cooperative has been working on waste recycling and the social reintegration of urban recyclers. In its Cooperative Production Hub in Benavídez, it develops:
- Urban furniture: park benches, tables, and composters.
- School supplies and household items: hangers, clips, and other products made from recycled plastic.
- Training: courses on separation at source, with members certified as environmental promoters by the Faculty of Agronomy of the UBA.
Recent Implementations
The Eco Points were installed at the Farmacity Festival held in the Bosques de Palermo, where waste separation was promoted among attendees.
This action reinforced the environmental commitment of the event and highlighted the importance of having sustainable infrastructure in public spaces.
Recognition and Leadership
Creando Conciencia is considered one of the leading cooperatives in recycling and circular economy in Argentina. Currently:
- Has 51 members and collection contracts in neighborhoods of Benavídez and Tigre.
- Is one of the few Sustainable Destinations in the province of Buenos Aires, ensuring the traceability of recyclable waste.
- Holds the presidency of the FETRACOOP and the CONARCOOP, in addition to being a reference in the National Network of Recyclers of Fecootra.
