In the last five years, Geocycle, a waste management solutions company of Holcim, has responsibly managed more than 95,000 tons of waste in Argentina and invested more than USD 9.5 million in projects aimed at transforming waste into resources and moving towards cleaner cities.
The company unveiled its new brand identity as a reflection of a strategy focused on accelerating the transition towards the circular economy and a waste-free future. Its business model evolves from simple waste management to the generation of environmental, social, and economic value, integrating traceability and energy recovery.
Global Leadership with Local Impact
In 2025, Geocycle managed more than 12 million tons of waste worldwide. In Argentina:
- 95,000 tons revalued, preventing their disposal in landfills or oceans.
- 7,100 tons of end-of-life tires (ELT) recovered, equivalent to more than 1 million tires.
- 22,600 tons of organic plant matter transformed into alternative energy, tripling the year-on-year volume and reducing the use of fossil fuels.
This model helps reduce the carbon footprint and build a more efficient system in resource use.

Strategic Investments
In the last half-decade, Geocycle invested more than USD 9.5 million in technology and installed capacity, leading to key projects:
- Post-consumer plastic recovery station: the company’s first globally, with a processing capacity of up to 10,000 kg/hour.
- Piedras Blancas Circular Economy Park: the country’s first urban solid waste sorting station, with a capacity of 100,000 tons annually.
- Villa Carlos Paz: new waste treatment line with a capacity of 38,400 tons annually.
New Identity and Purpose
The renewal of its visual identity reflects a more agile, innovative, and technological company, ready to face current waste challenges. According to Franco Liotti, general manager of Geocycle Argentina:
“Traditional consumption and disposal models are no longer sustainable. At Geocycle, we transform waste into resources to generate environmental, social, and economic value for communities.”
The future strategy includes betting on new technologies, multiplying internal and supplier logistics, and testing experimental waste processing solutions to reach more cities and clients.
Geocycle marks a milestone in waste management in Argentina by demonstrating that it is possible to move from a disposal model to one of circularity and resource utilization. With strategic investments, pioneering projects, and a new identity, the company positions itself as a key player in the transition towards a more sustainable country.
