The province of Misiones is taking a crucial step in the transition towards clean energy, with the construction of the largest solar park in the region, located in Oberá.
This development will not only contribute to sustainable energy, but also strengthen local energy autonomy, benefiting thousands of families and businesses.
The impact of the solar park in Oberá
During a recent visit to the project, the president of Vialidad de Misiones, Sebastián Macías, together with the mayor of Oberá, Pablo Hassan, and the president of Energía de Misiones, Virginia Kluka, highlighted the progress of the project.
“Of the 10 megawatts that this park will contribute to the provincial system, 5 will be available very soon, powering the Industrial Park of Oberá and benefiting 5,400 families, because Misiones is important to us”, stated Macías.
Furthermore, they emphasized that this energy will be exclusively of Misiones origin and will be incorporated sustainably into the provincial grid.
A park designed for the future
The park will feature over 15,000 solar panels spread across a four-hectare area.
- In the first stage, the installation of 9,000 panels is planned, of which 4,000 have already been mounted.
- Once operational, it will provide 10 megawatts of clean energy to the power grid.
This development did not require deforestation for its installation, demonstrating its commitment to environmental care.
Expansion of solar energy in Misiones
This park adds to a broader provincial strategy to diversify the energy matrix with renewable energies.
In addition to Oberá, new solar parks are planned in Leandro N. Alem, Apóstoles, Concepción de la Sierra, San Vicente, and Eldorado, consolidating a network of clean generation throughout the province.
