Diploma on Cannabis Industry and Cultivation Launched at UTN Avellaneda

The new academic offering, driven together with the municipality and civil organizations, seeks to professionalize the productive sector with a focus on human rights such as the industry and cannabis cultivation.

The Facultad Regional Avellaneda of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN), in collaboration with the Municipality’s Human Rights Secretariat and the Southern Cannabis Growers Association (ACS), announced the launch of the Diploma in Industry and Cultivation of Cannabis Sativa L.

This technical training at a higher level will begin in March, aiming to meet the need for specialized training in a sector that integrates engineering, architecture, and agronomy within an emerging industrial development framework.

The academic program is designed to equip students with tools based on scientific, community, and legal support, promoting safety and ethical standards in the production and processing of derivatives.

Through a comprehensive approach, the course covers everything from the agronomic fundamentals of the plant to specific cultivation systems for therapeutic and social uses, always in strict compliance with the national regulatory framework.

The pedagogical structure of the Diploma in Industry and Cultivation of Cannabis Sativa L. encourages cooperation between the public and private sectors, seeking to consolidate inclusive and cross-cutting productive policies.

The content will enable professionals and technicians to understand the value chain of this industry, facilitating the creation of technological projects linked to science and technology.

Regarding the study modality, classes will be held on Mondays from 7 to 10 p.m. The institution offers flexibility for students, allowing for in-person, virtual attendance, or asynchronous content tracking during the one-year duration of the program.
