A woman faces charges after abandoning her dog at the Harry Reid International Airport, in an episode that reignited the debate on animal abandonment in Las Vegas.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and reported by USA Today, Germiran Bryson, 26, left the animal tied to a metal structure at the JetBlue counter on February 2.
The investigation determined that the airline denied her boarding for not presenting the required documentation to travel with a service animal. Subsequently, the woman went to the boarding gate intending to change her flight.
Additionally, she was arrested for animal abandonment, resisting authority, false statements, and mistreatment. The next court hearing is scheduled for March 31.
