In the northwest of Argentina, the province of **La Rioja** is home to a site that witnesses a surprising **natural phenomenon**: the coexistence of two rivers, one yellow and the other black water, flowing side by side without mixing.
A Unique Natural Phenomenon
**Las Cuevas** is an astonishing place in La Rioja where the yellow river and the black river coexist without colliding.
The yellow color of the first river is due to the oxidation of iron near the gold mine “La Mejicana,” while the black river, with a transparent flow, originates in the **Quebrada del Agua Negra**. This confluence creates a striking visual spectacle.
How to Get to Las Cuevas
