YPF Luz and Justoken announced the launch of ENERTOKEN, Argentina’s largest platform for contracting, managing, and providing traceability to electric energy through blockchain technology. This development introduces an agile and secure process for energy contracting, integrating cost simulation, contract signing, consumption tracking, billing, and real-time reporting.
The innovation is based on the tokenization of energy assets registered on blockchain, ensuring security, transparency, and immutability in every operation. In its first stage, the platform allows for the 100% digital contracting of renewable and thermal energy, including an automatic savings simulator that estimates benefits according to consumption profile and electricity market data.
Technology and Support
ENERTOKEN was developed on the public network Ripple (XRP Ledger), recognized for its high levels of security and transparency.
For its launch, contracts and energy assets worth over 800 million dollars were tokenized, one of the largest tokenizations of real-world assets (RWA) globally.
Second Stage: Client Portal
The platform will evolve into a portal for the 90 companies already operating with YPF Luz energy, offering:
- Complete billing history and invoice downloads.
- Real-time consumption inquiries and reports.
- Tools for audits, certifications, and ESG reports, with traceable and verifiable information.
In this way, ENERTOKEN aims to strengthen energy efficiency and bring digital solutions that enhance the country’s industrial competitiveness.
