Cordoba students presented their environmental initiatives at the Sustainable Leaders Fair, an event held on Tuesday, June 24 at the Argentina Pavilion in Ciudad Universitaria. The day was organized by Aguas Cordobesas and the Junior Achievement Foundation with the aim of promoting a citizenship committed to caring for the planet from childhood.
Children and teenagers who participated in the “Water Ambassadors” and “Sustentics” programs throughout the year showcased their projects in front of a multidisciplinary jury. The proposals addressed topics such as responsible water use, creative recycling, energy efficiency, and community actions.
The works were evaluated based on their environmental impact, innovation, and clarity of presentation. Over 2,000 young people participated in these educational programs throughout 2024, and dozens of them attended the fair to demonstrate the results of their ideas and their commitment to the planet.

Small solutions, big changes
Among the highlighted projects was “Change Ambassadors” from Héctor Valdivielso School, which was awarded in the water-focused category. In the “Sustentics” category, “Ecogames” shone, a proposal from José Hernández Educational Institute that transforms waste into didactic games, integrating recycling and learning.
Special mentions were also given to teams that developed ideas with high community impact, great creativity, or outstanding presentation. The fair became a platform to showcase the transformative potential of youth in the face of current environmental challenges.
The event not only recognized sustainable ideas, but also fostered a long-term vision: to shape conscious leaders capable of making decisions that respect natural resources and strengthen community life. This experience made it clear that environmental education is a powerful tool to build more responsible and resilient societies.
Youth and environmental care.
Youth united for environmental care
The relationship between youth and the environment is becoming more active and conscious. Faced with a global scenario marked by climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, new generations take on a leading role in defending nature and promoting sustainable habits.
From school spaces to social networks, young people drive awareness campaigns, recycling actions, community gardens, and innovative proposals to reduce environmental impact. Their creativity and commitment have turned classrooms into true change laboratories, where solutions for the most urgent ecological challenges are developed.
Moreover, youth participation in environmental initiatives strengthens values such as empathy, cooperation, and critical thinking. Through environmental education, they consolidate themselves as key actors in the transition to more responsible, fair, and sustainable societies.
