In Argentina, there are already 248 B Corps: companies certified for their triple positive impact.

This year, the global campaign of the B Companies Month highlighted the “B Generation,” a group of business leaders committed to transforming businesses into tools of positive triple impact.

B Companies are organizations that manage and measure their social, environmental, and economic impact, being accountable to all their stakeholders and not just their shareholders. Currently, there are 9,625 certified B Companies in 102 countries.

  • Agua Segura: Implements water safety programs prioritizing the well-being of people and the environment.
  • Natura Cosméticos: Focuses environmental efforts in the Amazon, promoting environmental and community regeneration.

B Companies Month Initiatives

  • B Shelf: Spaces on platforms like Mercado Libre and La Anónima Online to identify and purchase B Companies’ products with exclusive discounts.
  • Collaborations: Restaurants like B CARNE and Sarasanegro offered triple impact products and experiences in collaboration with other B Companies.
  • Educational Events: Virtual talks on financial inclusion and events like “With equity, we all win” in Barrio Mugica highlighted the importance of sustainability.

Advancing towards a Positive Triple Impact

The B certification, granted by B Lab, involves a process of business transformation, promoting transparency and an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative approach. Tools like the B Impact Assessment help companies measure and improve their social and environmental performance.

The B Companies Month demonstrates that another business model is possible, empowering companies to lead the change towards a more sustainable and humane future.
