New Diploma in Agroecology at the National University of San Vicente to produce food without agrochemicals.

Agroecology Diploma, the new degree at the National University of San Vicente is gearing up for a significant advancement in its academic offerings.

The city will be home to the Agroecology Diploma, a new degree that promises to strengthen sustainable development and the training of local professionals.

The city’s Mayor, Nicolás Mantegazza, played a key role in this achievement, participating last Friday in the 3rd Meeting of the Bridges Program held in Mar del Plata. At this pivotal event, a historic agreement was formalized that will boost higher education in the district.

Important Announcement for the Municipality of San Vicente

The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of prominent provincial and university authorities. Alongside Mayor Mantegazza were the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, the Minister of the Buenos Aires Government, Carlos Bianco, the Director General of Culture and Education, Alberto Sileoni, and the Provincial Director of Linkage with the Scientific and University System, Juan Brardinelli, among other municipal and university representatives.

Thanks to this important agreement, framed within the Bridges Program, San Vicente will offer the Agroecology Diploma through the National University of San Antonio de Areco (UNSAdA).

This initiative is designed to provide local producers with essential theoretical and practical tools, promoting a sustainable perspective deeply rooted in the agricultural practices.

This remarkable progress is the result of collaborative and coordinated efforts among various institutions and organizations.

The Municipality of San Vicente, the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, the National University Arturo Jauretche (UNAJ), the Bridges Program, and the organization Trabajadores de la Tierra have worked together.

Agroecology Diploma expands opportunities

All share the same goal: expanding training opportunities and boosting local development within the community.

“We continue to build more rights to higher education and sustainable development in San Vicente,” stated Mayor Mantegazza, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to education and the progress of the region.

The Bridges Program, a valuable initiative of the provincial government, seeks to establish strategic agreements between the province’s universities and local governments. Its primary purpose is to decentralize and expand the options for university studies, thus bringing higher education closer to every corner of the Buenos Aires territory.
