This year, Schneider Electric, a leading company in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, returned as the main sponsor of the Paris Marathon.

The event took place on April 13th, uniting over 55,000 participants from around the world, including more than 6,000 clients, partners, and collaborators of the company.

In particular, they focused on making the marathon an inclusive event and on promoting physical activity for everyone. Additionally, for the third consecutive year, the company included the Paris Run for All race.

This is a 4 km charity race held the day before the official marathon, allowing people of all levels and abilities to participate.

The funds raised are allocated to the ANAÉ association, which invests in specially adapted equipment, such as all-terrain wheelchairs and quad bikes.

“Every year, this great event brings together people from around the world and reflects the values shared by Schneider Electric: self-improvement, performance, teamwork, openness to others, and resilience,” stated Laurent Bataille, EVP France Operations, Schneider Electric.

“We are proud that our own employees, clients, and partners can participate,” he added.

Commitment to sustainability

The company was recognized by Time and Statista as the “most sustainable company in the world” in 2024. Now, it is moving forward steadily to reduce the environmental footprint of the marathon.

As they pointed out, the event halved its waste compared to 2017, and since 2019, it has offset all residual greenhouse gas emissions linked to its organization.
