Mastellone Hnos. introduces new carton pots from Finland: innovation and sustainability that preserve the same flavor

The company introduces a pioneering innovation in new containers that reduces the use of plastic and optimizes the consumer experience, without sacrificing quality or flavor.

Mastellone Hnos. unveils an evolution in its Finlandia spreadable cheese line: the new “carton-packaged” containers. This is an innovative proposal that combines sustainability, design, and an enhanced consumption experience, while maintaining its characteristic quality and flavor.

As a result of the collaborative work between Mastellone Hnos. and Envases Group, these new containers mark a milestone in the Argentine market, being the first of their kind in the country.

They consist of containers composed of a plastic container covered by a cardboard band, which have been developed with a unique technology that facilitates the reduction of the amount of plastic used in each unit.

The cardboard band is separable, providing the possibility to recycle both materials independently or, alternatively, reuse the container.

“At Mastellone , we work continuously to evolve our products, not only in their taste and quality but also in their environmental impact. The development of the country’s first carton-packaged container is a concrete step towards a more sustainable industry and a reflection of our commitment to the future.

We aim to offer the consumer an increasingly better experience, while simultaneously taking care of our planet,” states Luis Demicheli, Sustainability Manager at Mastellone Hnos.

On the other hand, Gastón Domínguez, Packaging Development Manager, adds: “The development of this container was not limited to a Research and Development task, but all areas were involved to ensure product safety, preservation, good industrial performance, and a high-impact presentation at the point of sale.”

He further adds: “From the beginning, it was a very ambitious project, not only for being the first in the local market, but also because we aimed for it to contribute to several of the pillars of our 2030 plan. For this reason, we achieved a decrease in the consumption of virgin plastic and an increase in the use of renewable and sustainable sources, and we will continue working to increase the positive impact.”

In addition to its contribution to environmental care, the new container stands out for its high-definition printing quality. This feature provides a greater impact on the shelf, strengthens the visual identity of each variety, and allows communicating the differential attributes of the product in a clear and attractive way.

Three varieties, three ways to enjoy the pleasure

The Finlandia line is offered in three varieties designed for different moments and consumer preferences:

  • Classic: With intense flavor and unmatched texture, it represents a limitless pleasure experience. Ideal for those looking to enjoy 100%.
  • Light: With the right balance between flavor and lightness, it provides a “balanced pleasure.” Perfect for accompanying breakfasts or snacks.
  • Lighter: Soft and creamy, it is positioned as the most versatile option in the line, optimal for preparations such as wraps, tarts, or light dishes.

Through this launch, which aligns with the objectives of the 2030 Packaging Plan, Mastellone Hnos. reaffirms its commitment to sustainable management, positioning itself at the forefront of innovation in packaging matters.
